This traditional Kumaoni House is part of Nayalap’s distributed hotel. This one-bedroom cottage is set next to a forest and is a 30-minute easy walk from the road. This is an old Kumaoni-style house replete with stone and mud flooring, stone walls, a beautiful stone and wood roof, and a courtyard clad with stone.
You enter the cottage through the forest down the mud stairs, and into the stone courtyard in front of it. From there, you’d enter the stone cottage with its cosy sitting area and fireplace. The living/ sitting area leads to beautifully refurbished bedroom and a large kitchen and dining area.
It is perfect for the adventurous couple and those who prefer the exclusivity and privacy that the hills have to offer. The cottage serves locally cooked recipes from the nearby region.
