The Unexplored Short Slow Escape

A Short Escape to Rampur, Nayalap, and Corbett NP

If the drive to Nayalap is too long for you, take a break in between. Visit the Nawab’s town of Rampur and see the forests of Corbett National Park. It’s a great trip for explorers and the foodie in you. This short escape is not rushed at all, with a maximum drive time of 5 hours every day, and exploring some of the lesser-known places on the way.

Itinerary

Day 1Drive to Rampur. Reach by afternoon and explore Khas Bagh and the Raza library. Try out the Habshee Halwa and the Chapli Kabab in the evening.
Day 2Drive to Nayalap. In the afternoon, explore an old Kumaoni village
Day 3Go for a leisurely hike through the forests near Nayalap. Learn about the trees, the birds, the villages, the seasons and the mushrooms.
Day 4Drive to the stream for a picnic brunch. Dip your foot in the water and try out the local cuisine.
Day 5In the morning, go for a safari. After breakfast, return home.
