The Unexplored Short Slow Escape
A Short Escape to Rampur, Nayalap, and Corbett NP
If the drive to Nayalap is too long for you, take a break in between. Visit the Nawab’s town of Rampur and see the forests of Corbett National Park. It’s a great trip for explorers and the foodie in you. This short escape is not rushed at all, with a maximum drive time of 5 hours every day, and exploring some of the lesser-known places on the way.




Itinerary
Day 1 | Drive to Rampur. Reach by afternoon and explore Khas Bagh and the Raza library. Try out the Habshee Halwa and the Chapli Kabab in the evening. |
Day 2 | Drive to Nayalap. In the afternoon, explore an old Kumaoni village |
Day 3 | Go for a leisurely hike through the forests near Nayalap. Learn about the trees, the birds, the villages, the seasons and the mushrooms. |
Day 4 | Drive to the stream for a picnic brunch. Dip your foot in the water and try out the local cuisine. |
Day 5 | In the morning, go for a safari. After breakfast, return home. |
