Our stay at was exceptional. The room was impeccably clean, the staff incredibly attentive, and the amenities top-notch. The serene atmosphere and stunning views made for a perfect getaway. Dining was a delight with exquisite dishes. Anindya and Tanuja were perfect hosts.

Nayalap is at an absolutely great location, one is surrounded by beautiful oak trees and never ending bird song. The tented accommodation is cozy and immaculately clean. A special shoutout to the meals, very homely and delicious!

Chandan bhaiya, the caretaker, was helpful, ensuring that every need was met with warmth and efficiency. The culinary experience was nothing short of delightful, as the food served surpassed expectations in both quality and taste.

Had a wonderful stay at Nayalap. Tanuja is an extremely gracious host. She was in touch with me ever since the booking was made. The location is beautiful , secluded and safe. As a women traveller , the entire team made me feel secure. We had delicious local meals made by the in-house chef.

Nayalap is a luxurious glamping experience in the midst of nature of Kumaon region. It offers us with mountain life, quite streets, good home cooked food with pahadi delicacies, simple culture, amazing hospitality and a very comfortable stay.

Our stay at nayalap was amazing. It’s located near a small village with breathtaking views right from your cottages. Hygiene is good and the local cuisine served here is as tasty as it gets. And the most endearing host here is elsa, a pet dog of the owners. The nights here are lit by bonfire. It’s a little isolated location which gives you peace and a vacation away from bustling and crowded places such as nainital etc. The only issue which one can face here is hot and humid days during summer months as only side fans are provided in the rooms.

Spacious tents, gracious host and delicious food summed up our 4 nights stay at Nayalap. Extra points for tweaking the menu with local food and chutney on request.

Far away from hustle and bustle of the city, it felt like to be in the lap of nature. Warm and responsive host and very cordial staff. Choice and quality of food is excellent. Enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend this place.

The tents were super comfortable, while the staff was always ready to go out of their way to help. Also the views were absolutely stunning. Tanuja, the host was extremely amiable and took us on a beautiful forest walk with chai and sandwiches at the end! Nayalap is not about luxury, it is about respecting the context of mountains, slowing migration, understanding local culture and traditions. It so much more than just a place to stay. Nayalap is an incredible concept and beautiful destination for a holiday in the hills. We visited shitlakhet in May and and enjoyed our authentic and delicious pahadi food from Nayalap. The host Tanuja was really helpful and took us on an incredible walk through the forests where we spotted many native birds. An excellent and a relaxing holiday! My friend and I visited Tanuja’s bnb for my birthday. Everything was spot on - from the beautiful setup to cozy arrangements, and delicious food. There were snacks in the room that we got refilled because they were so yum!

Tanuja took us around the forest for a walk and shared so many interesting facts about Shitlakhet. We also tried wild berries along the way and spoke about how they keep the forest healthy & happy.

This rural glamping has all tings going right for it: 1. Super location - on clear days the himalayan range with peaks of trishul, nanda devi are visible. Located on a well forested area with tiny hamlets spread around it. 2. Service - the staff is extremely polite and helpful. You can reach out anytime and they are ready to help 3. Food- authentic pahadi/kumaoni food here. The chef cooks up amazing food and you will not want to eat anywhere else. 4. Activities - lots of acyivities to be done here. Small treks, village visits, river side picnic, scenic sunsets. Just amazing the owner tanuja is such a caring woman.

Loved staying in one of the must luxurious tents in India. Amazing kumauni food and great service. Electric blankets on the bed was like getting gold in winters. What a beautiful location ❤️ Shitlakhet is must visit 🙂

I always want to chose place which is away from the madness of city life and also away from crowd. While searching for a place where I can be in nature, I bumped upon a beautiful place at Shitlakhet which is nearly 22 km from Ranikhet, a popular destination at Kumaon. While looking at their website, I was already impressed but I will called the owner and Tanuja, the owner shared me a great details including a brief route map from Delhi , as I was traveling via car.
