Photography can be only learned when you practice. Join us for this amazing workshop where you can learn and travel. Get your hands dirty learning about various aspects of landscape and portraits and read about some of the greats.

Stay at an amazing village retreat and a cottage. Interact with other participants and take a break and hone your skills at the same time.




  • 26th April 2018 (Thursday): Arrive at Shitlakhet by afternoon/ evening. Meet the rest of the participants
  • 27th April 2018 (Friday): A day in Shitlakhet learning and photographing the incredible landscapes
  • 28th April 2018 (Saturday): A day in Ranikhet exploring the churches and bungalows of the old cantonment town. In the evening, return to Shitlakhet.
  • 29th April 2018 (Sunday): Depart from Shitlakhet.

There are only 6 slots available and the cost would be Rs. 18,350 per person. This includes the cost for the course, meals on all days, transport from Shitlakhet to Ranikhet and back and the walk in Ranikhet

What you’ll learn

A comprehensive course on the taking technique of Digital Photography. Demos, talks, outings etc cover types of camera, Cotre Jour, understanding lenses, portraiture, landscapes, wildlife, birds, travel, architecture, night and flash photography, the Master Eye, and much more, making you the versatile
photographer you always wanted to be.

Dr Maurice Ryder holds many distinctions. Official photographer to Late P. M. Indira Gandhi, the 1971 Bangladesh War for the Army’s Eastern Command, four Honours from London’s Royal Drawing Society, Director of Studies, Art Kendra, Noida. He also lectures at Universities.
